My Alphas Wear Pink...

I thought long and hard on this blog hop post simply because I knew it would step way outside the box of what readers may expect to find today. The hop was designed to highlight the alpha male and what we as writers feel makes the perfect alpha and why. I’m sure many of you expect to see a lot of hot descriptions ranging from physical traits to characteristics of the alpha hero and might even be anticipating some pretty steamy pictures at some point. And I know you’re expecting there to be a way to entire to win a cool prize…more on that later.
As all of us I’m positive are aware, October is breast cancer awareness month. I’m also fairly certain every single one of you who drop by today have been touched in some way by this disease whether directly or indirectly. Perhaps you’re a survivor yourself, maybe you’ve had a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother who’s been diagnosed. At some point, you’ve known at least one person who was touched on some level by breast cancer.
Now, you may be asking yourself what any of that has to do with the alpha hero. Well, I have a habit of weaving true to life characteristics and traits into my heroes from real life men I know and adore. And today I would like to honor and commend the alpha heroes I’ve watched stand beside amazingly strong women battling breast cancer. I’ve had family members as well as friends go through this. This is personal for me because so many of the women and men I love are affected.
It takes every bit as much courage and fortitude to be the male caregiver standing beside these women and walking the path of recovery, or being the partner left in the wake of the most unfortunate outcome imaginable as is does to be the one directly in this diseases path. They struggle through watching their loved one endured horrific treatment and where most men would run at the sight of a woman missing a breast, I’ve personally watched some of the strongest men I know cry in private for their wife’s loss, yes their wife’s not their own, and tell their wife how brave she is and ensure her she’s still beautiful and desirable in the light of day.
These men are the stuff true alpha heroes are made of. Thank you to the real men who support the women in their lives through the battle that is breast cancer. When you see a man wearing pink this month tell him thank you.
Now, I’m not in any way sorry to say, there is no prize at my stop today. I’m asking you to still leave a comment however because in lieu of a prize, I’ll be making a donation to fund breast cancer research. For every comment I receive up to and including 100 comments, I will donate $1.00 to breast cancer research, up to and including $100.00. So, please, don’t bypass me today, leave a comment and help me help researchers Save The TaTas!
Please click below to go back to the bloghop home and keep hopping and remember, all comments you leave count toward entry for the grand prize and swag pack drawings.

  3. I love that your Alphas wear pink.

As you say in the blog post many alphas stand by their women at this time and I am sure their strength helps the women win out over breast cancer. Long may they continue to do so.

  30. Why I love Alpha Males is no real surprise! The perfect Alpha Male for me could be a Vampire, a Scottish Laird, an English Rogue/Gentleman, a Werewolf or Shape-shifter, or a Knight. He’s the rogue who thinks he can’t be reformed into a gentleman. He’s the rough and scarred Scottish laird that has a heart of gold. He’s the werewolf or shape-shifter that needs to heal an aching heart because it took him years to find his true mate. He’s the vampire who has waited decades for that special someone’s blood to sing to him and wake him up. And he’s the knight who can defeat the enemy with a quick swing of his sword, but can’t see the love in front of his face. My Alpha Male has eyes that can see into your soul and are as blue as the sea, or as black as a storm. He’s tall and brooding. His heart can enfold you into its grasp and make you fall in love when he gives it to you freely and completely. He is protective and passionate. In the end he is the one that makes your heart jump and butterflies fly in your stomach, and still kiss you until your legs melt!

  33. I have to agree with most of those posting here. This is one of the most wonderful prizes and I am happy to help. My cousin Caroline had and beat breast cancer several years ago, only to be diagnosed with terminal leukemia a few months ago. She died a couple weeks after that diagnosis. Every time I am able to, I do my best to support any breast cancer or other cancer (for my husband) awareness organizations/charities.
    Best wishes and continued success.

Alpha males are the best….strong, independent, fiercely protective, but on the inside they are nothing but a big ol’ teddy bear! I love the way their mouths talk filthy, but their eyes portray their sensitive sweet. They can be rough and tough in the bedroom, but still have the gentle caress of an attentive and protective lover. It's all in the heart.....alpha males are the best!
