I Was Tagged The Next Big Thing...

Good morning everyone! Looks like I’m the “next big thing.” I was tagged by Jennifer Wilck. Thank you so much Jennifer! Hope you all have as much fun with this today as I had doing it…so, here goes.
What is the working title of your book? A Slower, Lower Leap

Where did the idea come from for the book?
A Slower, Lower Leap is book three in the Slower Lower series. This installment rotates around Logan and his story. I knew he existed as a stand out character in book one, but didn’t pay him much attention until book two when he gives his brothers some advice and he began to grow. I knew when my readers started emailing and asking about Logan, it was then time to tell his story.
What genre does your book fall under?
Contemporary romance although as it grows and progresses it may well fall into the erotic category at some point. I’ve not figured out yet just how far he’s going to go with his heroine as far as heat level. They have severe issues to overcome and I’m not sure hot and sweaty is going to cut it.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?
Honestly, I have absolutely no idea. That’s one question I’m asked quite a lot, but never really have an answer for because my stuff making it to Lifetime isn’t my dream. My dream is to entertain through words. Now if Lifetime came knocking, I sure wouldn’t turn them away, but that’s just never been on my radar screen.
What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?
Boy meets girl and sparks fly then he finds out she has a special needs child and…

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
The Slower Lower series is contracted through Rebel Ink Press. I’ve never self-published and never will.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
I’m still writing it so that’s hard to say. I do have self-imposed deadlines though and hope the final draft will be edited and ready for publication sometime in February.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre.
Some people have compared it to Susan Mallery. I’m flattered they would think that. J

Who or What inspired you to write this book?
My husband. He’s from slower, lower Delaware, Sussex County and the people there and that way of life totally draws me and a story formed.
